How to receive Jesus Christ into your life.

John 3:16

Wherever you are right now, and in whatever circumstances, you can find forgiveness and enter into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Are you ready to turn your life over to Jesus Christ?
It is the greatest thing that you will ever do!

The following is a simple step-by-step plan of how to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.



Step 1- Realise that God wants the best for you.


Jesus says - I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)…John 10:10 (Amplified Bible)

Ephesians 1:11 tells us -It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, He had His eye on us, has designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone. (The Message Bible).

For you to receive this abundant life required the supreme sacrifice-
John 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He (even) gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts is, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.(Amplified Bible)



Step 2 - Realise that you are separated from God.


Isaiah 59:2 says- But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.

Paul said in Romans 3:23 -For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…Admit your sinfulness.

Isaiah put it this way - We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way…



Step 3- Realise that God has provided only one solution to sin.


Jesus Christ, His Son is the only way to God.
Acts 4:12- Salvation is found in no-one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved…

1 Timothy 2:5- For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men…

Jesus clearly stated in John 14:6- I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through Me…



Step 4- Receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord.


God's Word says in Romans 10:9 -That if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

If you are ready to take this step, you can pray the most important prayer of your life by simply saying -

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Your Word says that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. I take You at Your Word and believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He came to earth over 2000 years ago and died for me on the Cross and shed His blood for my salvation. I repent of my sins and ask You Jesus to come into my heart now as my Saviour and Lord. From now on I belong to you and I am born again. Amen!


The Bible says in John 1:12 Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in Hid name, He gave the right to become children of God…
